Discover Waikumete Cemetery Special Influenza Walk Sun 6th May 2pm

A sea captain who survived the 1918 Influenza Pandemic in Vava’u, Tonga, that had killed 400 of the local population, arrived home to discover that his eldest daughter had also been taken by the very same illness. Join us as we share their story and those of other 'Flu victims.

Meeting at the corner of Kowhai Rd and Daffodil Dr, weather permitting.  Please dress for the weather and boggy terrain, bring a drink & sensible shoes. The cost for these walks is $5.00 per person. No booking necessary.
